Our Wicker Furnitures
The composition of our wicker furnitures are structure frame and weaving materials. The primary used for furniture's structure is Teak and some time use a large " broomhandle " sized poles of Rattan. The primary used for weaving material for indoor/outdoor furniture can be Rattan and Water Hyacinth (bamboo is not preferred) that yields an extremely strong and durable fibre that can be use for more than 5 years. Rattan and Water Hyacinth is so durable (unlike bamboo which is hollow) three-year warranty which covers workmanship and material quality.Water Hyacinth
Water Hyacinth is a member of the pickerelweed family (Pontederiaceae). Water hyacinth or Eichhornia crassipes in scientific name is a tropical floating waterweed with a spongy texture, usually found in the rivers, lakes and waterways of South-East Asia. It grows in dense clumps from 8-10 stems to a large dense floating mats impede water flow. After being harvested the stems are dried for several days naturally untill they have turned a golden brown and then woven to form plants. Water hyacinth is listed as one of the most productive plants on earth and is considered one of the world's worst aquatic plants. It is so prolific that large amounts of public money has been spent trying to eradicate it. Water hyacinth is a naturally green product and no harmful chemicals are used to process the plant - a great new environmentally friendly material for furniture and decoration. Its simplicity and natural look including its delicate texture have drawn the interests of many interior designers and decorators all over the world. The process to make water hyacinth fiber is to dehydate the moisture by roasted with high temperature to remove fungus and sterilized. The color of fiber can varies and able to made by your own designed eg. cornsilk, green, orange, burlywood, sienna and black.Rattan
Rattan is a solid timber vine that grows in the tropical rain forests of Thailand and alomost country of South-East Asia. We process the Rattan poles by steamed for shaping, remove fungus and sterilized. Then put it into a form of whatever is the desired shape and left to cool. When cool they remain in that shape. After that turning its color from a pale green into the yellow that most people are familiar with by smoking it in sulphur fumes. And to process the Rattan as a furniture's texture, from the large poles can be processed down to any smaller size by matchine to give them have a same size along their length. To make Wicker Furniture we take the same type of pole rattan frame and we weave and attach the smaller size pieces (wicker) onto the outside of the frame.Maintenance & Cleaning
Wicker furnitures can be vacuumed for dust or for major spills please follow these instructions.- Remove all upholstery.
- Wash the furniture using a mild soap, lukewarm water and a soft cloth.
- Use a nylon brush to remove dry food or mud etc.
- A paint thinner can be used to remove tougher stains.
- Place the furniture outside or in a drying room to dry.
- The standard 100% cotton cushion covers can be removed for cleaning on a 30 degree wash or alternatively dry cleaned.

Water hyacinth is listed as one of the most productive plants on earth and is considered one of the world's worst aquatic plants. It forms dense mats that interfere with navigation, recreation, irrigation, and power generation. These mats competitively exclude native submersed and floating-leaved plants. Low oxygen conditions develop beneath water hyacinth mats and the dense floating mats impede water flow and create good breeding conditions for mosquitoes.
